As a yoga teacher and MFT trainee, my work is all about creating spaces where people can feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow.
My own journey into wellness began from a deeply personal place. After facing multiple traumatic experiences and struggling with my own mental health, I turned to practices like yoga, meditation, and therapy as a way to heal and reconnect with myself. These tools helped me find balance, peace, and a renewed sense of purpose, and that transformation is what inspires me to share these practices with others.
Here's a little bit about me -
When I’m not teaching yoga or studying for school, you can usually find me surrounded by my four cats, lost in a good book, or experimenting with a new arts and crafts project. I also enjoy baking desserts and unwinding with a fun video game. And, of course, you’ll often find me on the yoga mat!
Professional Background -
I hold a BA in Psychology with a minor in Communication from UC Davis, and I am currently pursuing my MA in Counseling Psychology at Meridian University, with a concentration in Yoga & Psychology. I’m on the path to becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), combining my passion for holistic wellness with evidence-based therapeutic practices.
I’ve worked in the mental health field for about eight years in roles such as case management, crisis response and intervention, and direct support, helping individuals navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, stress/trauma, relationship issues, and other general mental health concerns. My background also includes providing support to clients facing homelessness, substance use, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Currently, I am completing my internship as an MFT trainee at Life Practice Counseling Group, under the supervision of Carisa Sherwood, LMFT #48768.
In addition to my work in mental health, I am a registered yoga teacher (RYT). I’ve completed my 200-hour training and am currently working toward my 300-hour certification. I’m also deepening my knowledge with further studies in areas like yoga therapy, Ayurvedic wellness, and meditation, bringing a well-rounded, integrative approach to my practice.
